Colorado trip 2011

Laura had a work conference in Keystone, Colorado (rough, I know!) and then Grandma, Dad and Lexi flew out to meet her! We spent a couple days in Keystone and then a stop in Idaho Springs on our way to Golden to see Grandma's Family. What a great week!

Lexi insisted on riding the snow bike ... so confused though ... kept asking "where wheels?"

I guess tromping around in the snow at 12,000 + feet, takes it out of a toddler... SOOOO exhausted on the Gondola Ride back down.

But she regrouped at the Kickapoo Tavern, in time for a yummy lunch followed by a nap.

Colorado Style Pizza really means Mountain Pies! They are yummy - we had stopped at this place on our Honeymoon and HAD to take Lexi in for some good food.

WOW - that's a pizza! They serve it with warm honey to dip your crust in... Sooooo good!

Downtown Golden for Breakfast, they made her a VERY SPECIAL pancake! Needless to say, she pretty much just ate the fruit!

Baxter

Baxter was such a great dog! He made all of us happy and gave us many laughs with his interesting hunting style and his wonderful howl. We miss him very much - there are so many ways we can't keep count. We are comforted that he is busy chasing (and maybe actually catching) squirells in doggie heaven.

We had so much fun doing these - despite the fact that Mommy was sick and Lexi was starting to get sick! By the end we both had fevers! Poor daddy had to take care of us...
